COMMERCIAL MURALS
A well-designed mural doesn’t just fill a wall it transforms how people experience your space.
From cafés and gyms to retail stores and large commercial environments, I create custom murals that attract attention, elevate your brand and leave a lasting impression.
RWE OFFICE MURALS
I worked with RWE on a series of four bespoke murals for their new office spaces in Grimsby. The project was designed to reflect the local identity and heritage of the area while enhancing the working environment. Across the site, each mural was tailored to its setting from corridor pieces featuring the iconic Grimsby cod, to a vibrant, street art-inspired gym mural incorporating the Humber Bridge. Within the office spaces, I created a detailed scene of the local docks, while the main meeting room featured a large-scale composition of local fishermen, their boats and their daily catches.
The project combined elements of storytelling, place and culture, creating a cohesive set of murals that connect the workspace to its surroundings while adding visual impact throughout the building.

"The very talented Nikita Spires produced four amazing murals for our office at Humber Gateway Windfarm over the past month. A few of them - inspired by the local area and Grimsby’s history… the one below is something a little more urban and colourful for our gym "

A series of vibrant murals have been unveiled on the railway line between Barton-upon-Humber and Cleethorpes.
Barton Cleethorpes Community Rail Partnership (BCCRP) said the Art Along the Line project was a celebration of local history.
The murals, which are located at Stallingborough, Great Coates, Cleethorpes, Grimsby Docks and New Clee, have been produced by local artist Nikita Spires.
The project is part of Railway 200 – which marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of the modern railway – and is supported by funding from East Midlands Railway and the Community Rail Network (CRN).
Dawn Branton, an officer at CRN, said the murals told "the incredible story of our railway".
"Each mural beautifully captures a piece of the Barton line, connecting the past with the present in a way that everyone can enjoy."
The Barton-to-Cleethorpes line was opened in stages between 1848 and 1863 and survived the Beeching cuts of the 1960s, despite being recommended for closure.
Ms Branton added: "We hope passengers and visitors alike will have a day out on the line, explore the route, and discover these fantastic artworks for themselves."

An artist has shared how she painted a mural on a railway ticket office in Lincolnshire to help bring life and history back to the station.
Nikita Spires, from Louth, depicted how the office in Great Coates could have looked in Victorian times, complete with an inspector waiting for tickets.
She painted the mural as part of a series at stations including Stallingborough, Cleethorpes, Grimsby Docks and New Clee, which are located on the line between Barton-upon-Humber and Cleethorpes.
Ms Spires said she wanted the painting to be a "nod to the generations who passed through that station".
She added: "I wanted to create more than just an image, I wanted to transport people.
"The Victorian ticket office and window aren't just painted, they're a bridge to the past, a nod to the generations who passed through that station.
"It's a joy to see how art can transform a forgotten corner into something that sparks imagination, pride and local connection."
The murals were painted as part of the Railway 200 project to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of the modern railway.

“To celebrate Community Rail Week, Barton Cleethorpes CRP unveiled their latest addition to their Railway 200 project, “Art along the Line”
‘. A trompe d’œil, French for trick of the eye, was
painted at Great Coates station over two blocked up doorways on the old ticket office building. It was painted to give the impression that the spaces were no longer blocked up by local artist Nikita Spires. The mural, “The Ticket Office” was commissioned by the CRP with funding from Community Rail Network and permission from East Midlands Railway and the owner of the property G Praid.
This is the second of our hand painted murals to be displayed on the Barton route and we aim to add more during the summer months. Officer of Barton Cleethorpes CRP, Dawn Branton, said
“We are really pleased with our latest addition to this exciting project. This breathtaking mural has made a very underwhelming corner of the station truly remarkable, and we have received many compliments from both station users and local residents.”

Art along the line!
"At the start of 2025 Barton Cleethorpes CRP began an exciting new Railway 200 project, “Art along the Line” which incorporates the commissioning of local artists to produce Art Installations at stations, an Art Competition and a Photography Competition. On World Art Day, 15 April, we unveiled our first hand-painted mural, commissioned with funding from Community Rail Network, in the ticket office at Cleethorpes station. “Our Railway: 200 Years of the Modern Railway” by local artist, Nikita Spires, is an abundance of colour and reflects how Cleethorpes station has developed over time.
At the unveiling, the chair of BCCRP, Carl Thomas, welcomed everyone and said “Over the next twelve months Barton Cleethorpes Community Rail Partnership will be unveiling other pieces of art as part of our contribution to celebrating 200 years of the railway. So here’s to the past that built us, the present that connects us, and the future still to come.”
