ARTIST STATMENT

I am an international mural artist known for creating vibrant, large-scale artworks that transform spaces and bring powerful visual identity to communities around the world. My work is deeply inspired by nature, wildlife and global travel. Using bold colour, dynamic movement and symbolic storytelling, I create murals that respond directly to their surroundings. Each project is uniquely designed through research into local culture, history and landscape, ensuring every artwork feels authentic to the place it belongs. My wider artistic practice explores environmental themes including marine conservation and plastic pollution, developed during my residency at The Deep in Hull. I see public art as a way to connect people to place. A mural can redefine how a space feels, create pride within a community and leave a lasting cultural impact. My goal is always to create artwork that is both visually striking and meaningful, something people remember long after they first encounter it.

THE PROCESS a collaborative process from concept to finished artwork.

1. The Idea

It starts with a conversation. Clients reach out with their idea, space or vision through email or the contact form. For more detailed projects, a video call can be arranged to discuss the concept, location and goals for the mural.

2. The Sketch

Once the direction is clear, Nikita develops an initial sketch to explore the composition and overall concept. This stage helps ensure the artwork aligns with the client’s vision before moving forward.

3. The Design

After the concept is approved and project dates are secured with a deposit, Nikita creates detailed digital designs using professional tools such as Procreate. These designs allow the mural to be visualised clearly before the painting begins.

4. Preparation & Painting

With the design finalised, the wall is prepared and the mural is painted on site. Each artwork is carefully hand-painted using professional materials suited to the environment and scale of the project.

5. The Finished Artwork

The final result is a unique, large-scale artwork designed to transform the space and create lasting visual impact.

Nikita works primarily across England and Australia, but regularly travels for mural commissions and creative projects anywhere in the world.

In addition to murals, enquiries are also welcome for live painting events, wedding paintings, workshops and other art commissions.
